Saturday, April 11, 2009: Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities. Weather Conditions: The morning low temperature was 48º F and the afternoon high was 70º F. It was sunny in the morning with high clouds, and in the afternoon heavier clouds moved in. A breeze came from the southeast.

We started setting up nets at 8:20 a.m. and all nets were closed by 5:15 p.m
Note: For the first time, we caught and banded an Ovenbird.
Next Banding Date: We
plan to band again on Saturday, May 16, weather permitting. If
