Saturday, December 10, 2005: Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding efforts. Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson; Tony Novak and Philip Trammell of Karnack; Becky Gullette, Natalie Oswalt and Savannah Oswalt of Carthage.

Friday, December 23, 2005: Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding efforts. Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson; Diane Jones of Jonesville; Howard Solomon of Nacogdoches; Amy Solomon of Asheville, NC; Gary & Billie Wilder of Arlington, TX.
Weather
Conditions:
Sunny and windy. The
morning low temperature was 37º F and the afternoon high was 64º F.
Number of Nets: Thirteen (13).
Time: We started putting up nets at 9:10 a.m. and the nets were closed by 4:30 p.m.
Special Note: Today we retrapped the Nashville Warbler which we banded two weeks ago -- a rare occurrence here at this time of year. Most Nashville Warblers winter in Mexico and Central America.

The morning low temperature was 48º F and the afternoon high was 64º F.

Time: We started putting up nets at 8:30 a.m. and the nets were closed by 4:40 p.m.
Special Note: We retrapped the Nashville Warbler again which we banded 18 days ago.
