Saturday, December 26, 2009: Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities. Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson; Paul Tidwell of Jefferson; Nigel & Shirley Shivers of Karnack; Jesse Andrews of Marshall; Carol Pace and grandchildren Blake, Morgan & Tanner Arst of Marshall; Diane Jones of Jonesville; Charles Steger of Atlanta; Christian Fields of Jefferson; Dorothy & Sam Metzler of Longview; Rick Barrow, Tom Smith, and John Owings of Dallas.
Weather
Conditions: The morning low temperature was 25º F and
the afternoon high was 47º F. The weather was sunny with a light breeze
from the west.
Time:
We started setting up nets at 9:15 a.m. and all nets were closed by 4:30 p.m.
