Saturday, February 21, 2004. Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding efforts. Other participants included Tom Walker of Jefferson, Colleen Cookson of Shreveport, Diane Jones of Jonesville, Ron Munden of Marshall, and Dorothy Metzler of Longview.
Location: The banding activities took place just west of Caddo Lake in Marion County on Boots Walker Road (near Jefferson, Texas).
Weather Conditions: The morning low temperature was 35º F, and the afternoon high was 64º F, with clear skies.
Number of Nets: Fourteen (14)
Time: Nets were set up between 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. and closed by 4:30 p.m.
