Saturday, January 6, 2007: Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding efforts. Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson
; Tony Novak of Karnack; Nigel & Shirley Shivers of Karnack; Gary & Roxanne Endsley of Atlanta, Texas; Sydni Brooke Davis of Atlanta; Phyllis Bailey of Karnack; Brenna Horak of Lubbock; Breanna Horak of Longview; Wendy McKnight of Marshall; Mike Weber of Jefferson; Frank Howes of Berlin, Massachusetts; and Jack Sanders of Marshall.
Weather
Conditions:
The morning low temperature was 48º F and
the afternoon high was 61º F with clear skies in the morning and cloudy in the
afternoon. No wind.
Number of Nets: Fourteen (14)
Time: We started putting up nets at 8:45 a.m. and all nets were closed by 5:00 p.m.
